The writer of Psalms 96:1-13 HCSB observed strength in the foundation and construction of the Old Testament Tabernacle (or Temple), but as he gazed at the intricate carvings and lovely tapestries, he also saw beauty. This caused him to exclaim in Psalms 96:6 HCSB that in the dwelling place of God there was Strength and Beauty.
1 Corinthians 06:19 HCSB says that our bodies are temples of God in which the Holy Spirit dwells. Let us conscientiously incorporate into our lives the quality traits of both Strength and Beauty that were seen in perfect balance in God’s dwelling place in the Old Testament.
